Prayer of Consecration to the
Most Sacred Heart of Jesus
(To be prayed on Fridays, especially on the First Friday of each month.)
My Lord Jesus Christ,
I consecrate myself anew to Your Most Sacred Heart.
I consecrate to You my body with its five senses of
sight, smell, taste, touch and hearing,
and my soul with all of its faculties including
intellect, will, memory and imagination.
Guide my intellect to know You and my will to choose You;
I give to You my entire being without reserve.
I consecrate to You all my
thoughts, words and deeds;
all my sufferings and labors;
all my hopes, consolations and joys.
In particular, I consecrate to You this poor heart of mine
so that it may love You abundantly with a committed and true love
that expresses itself in love of God and neighbor
and faithfulness to daily duty.
Most Sacred Heart of Jesus, may I be consumed as a victim
in the fire of Your Divine Love. Amen.
